Test methods
Operate assemblies under load before delivery and reliably screen out early failures.
A proportion of failures occurs during the first hours of operation. Run-in and screening bring this phase forward: assemblies are operated under electrical and thermal load, monitored and evaluated before delivery.
MCF implements run-in systems with multi-device fixtures, individual monitoring of every position, intermediate and final measurements, and integration with the test database. Each assembly receives a documented load history linked to its serial number.
If required, screening is performed under simulated environmental conditions. The test software then controls not only the instruments but also a climate chamber or temperature-control unit so that load and temperature act together. Early failures become apparent much faster than during room-temperature operation alone.
Classification
This test method is used in several phases, each with different requirements for system design, automation and documentation.
Whether as a stand-alone test station or part of an integrated concept spanning several lifecycle phases, MCF configures the method for your device, volumes and process environment – including contacting, measurement technology, test software and documentation.
