OUR VISION
test engineering that remains.
We don't develop test systems for the moment. Our aim is to provide solutions that work reliably, can be further developed and support our customers for many years.
To do this, we combine long-lasting engineering with economically sensible technical solutions, open systems and modern software. Because good test engineering not only has to measure precisely: it has to work in daily use, be understandable to the user and be adaptable to new requirements.
Industrial test systems often have a significantly longer lifespan than the products and technologies from which they were originally created. That's why we develop with the aim that our systems can still be used, maintained and further developed in production, development or analysis even after 10, 15 or 20 years.
This already influences our technical decisions today. We pay attention to robust mechanics, understandable electrical systems, maintainable software architectures, available components, documented interfaces and the possibility of later modernizing or replacing individual parts of a system.
For us, future security does not mean using every new technology. It means developing systems so that they can survive change.
A lot is technically possible. Much less makes sense. Our aim is not to develop the most complex solution, but rather the right one. To do this, technical requirements, production conditions, quantities, investment costs and long-term operating costs must be considered together.
Sometimes a simple solution is the best. In other cases, automation, additional sensors or a more extensive software architecture create crucial added value. We therefore see engineering as the responsibility of weighing up technical options and working with our customers to find the solution that works reliably and fits economically to their process and budget.
For us, a good test system does not start with a technical specification, but rather with an understanding of the product, process and application. That's why we work closely with our customers - from the initial concept idea through development and commissioning to the later operation of the system.
Requirements change, products are further developed, production conditions change - a test system must be able to deal with them. It is equally important for us to remain available after delivery: fast support, personal contacts and the willingness to take responsibility for our systems.
Our goal is not just a successfully completed project. Our goal is a system with which our customers can work successfully in the long term.
A basic idea runs through our development: Anyone who receives a test system from MCF should remain as independent as possible. Many test systems are based on closed, proprietary solutions - changes to test procedures, new product variants or extensions remain permanently tied to one supplier. We consciously pursue a different approach.
We rely on open standards such as OpenTAP, documented interfaces and comprehensible architectures. Test procedures, parameters and limit values remain accessible; New test steps, additional hardware or your own device drivers can also be integrated later - our software does not become a black box.
Openness doesn't mean that you have to do everything yourself: you decide how much you want to operate, change or develop. MCF can support a system throughout its entire life cycle - the crucial difference is: you have the choice. We see this independence as the basis for long-term partnerships on equal terms.
Industrial systems must be reliable - but that does not mean that user interfaces, software architectures or work processes have to remain technologically static. People work with our systems every day. That's why we focus intensively on user experience, clear operating concepts, modern software development and intelligent automation options.
Information should be available where it is needed. Operating procedures should be understandable, errors should be identified quickly, data should be useful and systems should be easily expandable.
We don't use new technologies because they are new - they must create concrete added value: simplify processes, shorten development times, reduce downtimes or make additional information available. This combination of industrial reliability and continuous technological development keeps our customers' solutions competitive in the long term.
A test system is only as good as the interaction of its components. A precise measurement is of little help if the mechanics wear out after a short time. High-quality electrical design is not enough if software is unstable or difficult to maintain. And the best technical solution loses its value if it is unnecessarily complicated in day-to-day operations.
That's why we look at quality holistically: from design and production to electrical engineering and measurement technology to software, we place high demands on our own work. For us, robust design, clean documentation, comprehensible software, structured commissioning and reproducible results belong together.
We continually question our solutions. For us, quality does not mean that an error should never occur - but rather systematically ensuring that errors are avoided, recognized and remedied sustainably.
WHAT MCF STANDS FOR
Six principles of our work
Longevity
Develop systems that can be operated, maintained and expanded reliably for many years.
Economic efficiency
Use technology where it offers real added value – in line with requirements, processes and budgets.
Customer proximity
Understand products and processes, take responsibility and remain accessible even after commissioning.
Openness
Open standards, documented interfaces and traceable systems instead of unnecessary manufacturer dependency.
Quality
High demands on mechanics, electrics, software and the interaction of the entire system.
Progress
Consistently use new technologies where they improve operation, processes, quality or profitability.
