Tap.X is the scalable software platform for industrial test systems in production, development, service and analysis – flexible to adapt and built on OpenTAP as an open standard.
In many test systems, test functions, drivers and operator interfaces have evolved over time – each variant, location and additional tester increases the software risk. Tap.X provides the platform layer for industrial test systems: test engineers focus on the actual test, while Tap.X handles recurring system functions – user interface, production mode, management, versioning, approval, traceability, statistics and role-based operation.
OpenTAP is the open test sequencer at the core – without vendor lock-in, with a plugin architecture and access to source code and the community. Tap.X adds the production application layer and scales from a single-DUT bench through batch and parallel sockets to a connected line – without a new codebase.
Tap.X is not tied to MCF hardware: the platform is an ideal foundation for any kind of test system – in all industries, worldwide. From a manual workstation tester to a fully automated multi-tester, in production, development, laboratories, analysis and service.
MCF is a distributor for Tap.X and uses OpenTAP together with Tap.X for modern test systems. You create, edit and configure your test plans yourself – and program and debug your own test steps when needed, without depending on MCF. Your test system stays open, extensible and maintainable over the long term.
Create, configure, run and debug test plans – directly in the platform.
Manage and link products, tests, variants and test adapters in a structured way.
Controlled operation of test systems during production – including an API.
A single DUT, batch tests or parallel test sockets – a multi-instance architecture.
Who approved what and when? Which version ran when? An answer for every test.
Role-based interfaces using drag and drop. One platform – many UIs.
