Test & Automation
From contacting individual assemblies to a complete mechanical test fixture: MCF develops and manufactures custom test fixtures and change kits for production, end-of-line testing and quality assurance – precisely tailored to your DUT.
Test adapter as the interface to the DUT
At MCF, you do not buy a standard fixture. A test adapter is designed for the specific DUT – so you can make reproducible contact, change over quickly, avoid damage and stabilize your test process.

Typical DUTs
MCF test adapters securely and reproducibly accommodate a wide range of DUTs.
Contacting & interfaces
We do not list as many technologies as possible – we select the contacting method, adapter platform and interface that suit your test task, production volumes and existing test environment.
Concept
A test adapter must position the DUT precisely, make reliable contact and be quick and damage-free to operate in daily use.

Actuation
Changeover kits
Instead of building a separate adapter for each variant, the basic mechanics remain in place: only the changeover kit is replaced. This reduces costs over the product life cycle and shortens changeover times.
Integration into the test system
Many fixture builders manufacture mechanically sound adapters. The difference at MCF: test adapters, test hardware, automation and test software are considered together – from the contacting concept to the test sequence.
Approach
A clearly structured process removes uncertainty from the project start – from the initial discussion to the documented handover.
Understand the DUT, test requirements and production process – evaluate quantity, cycle time, variants and contact cycles.
Define contact points, contact forces, media and interfaces – suitable for the test task and the DUT’s accessibility.
Develop the mechanical fixture, contacting and change-set concept – with variants and subsequent product changes considered from the outset.
Build, wire and assemble the adapter in our own mechanical and electrical production facilities.
Test contacting and function on the real DUT – in-house or directly on the test system.
Documented contacting, spare parts lists and maintenance instructions – for maintainable operation throughout the entire lifecycle.
Often more important than the purchase price when considered over the life cycle.
Modernize existing adapters instead of replacing them completely – including third-party adapters.
