Development, training & service
Reliable operation over the entire life cycle: MCF keeps your inspection and test systems available, reliable, maintainable and expandable - from regular maintenance and quick fault analysis to software maintenance, spare parts strategy and modernization.
A test system must not only function when commissioned, but also remain stable, reproducible and available in the long term. Especially in production, quality assurance and EOL testing, failures, measurement deviations or contacting problems are directly linked to downtime, rework or quality risks.
The aim is to ensure the availability of the test system, reduce unplanned downtimes and maintain test quality over the long term.
Services at a glance
From regular maintenance and rapid fault analysis to software maintenance, spare-parts strategy and modernization – as an individual service or comprehensive support.
Regular testing of contacting, mechanics, pneumatics, measurement technology and safety functions - documented and traceable.
Useful maintenance intervals and testing measures, tailored to the real use of the system.
Structured troubleshooting throughout the entire testing process – via remote diagnosis or on-site use.
Maintenance and further development of OpenTAP, Tap.X and LabVIEW – traceable, testable and documented.
Identification and procurement of critical components to reduce downtime in the event of service.
Calibration concepts, reference measurements and self-diagnosis for permanently measurement-safe systems.
Test system maintenance
test systems consist of many components that are subjected to mechanical, electrical and software stress during daily operation. In particular, contacts, test fixtures, connectors, moving mechanics, pneumatics, sensors and measuring equipment must be checked regularly. MCF offers maintenance concepts for existing test systems - from regular inspections to the targeted revision of individual assemblies.
Preventive maintenance
Many malfunctions are imminent - due to increasing incorrect contacts, fluctuating measurement results, longer test times or recurring operator interventions. Through preventative maintenance, these risks can be identified and eliminated at an early stage. MCF works with you to define maintenance intervals and testing measures that match the real use of the system.
Service in the event of faults
If a test system fails or delivers unstable results, the cause must be isolated quickly and in a structured manner. Errors can lie in the contacting, the measurement technology, the electrical system, the software, the automation or in the device under test itself. MCF proceeds systematically and analyzes not only the error message, but the entire testing process.
Many software, diagnostics and setting topics can be analyzed via remote support - for shorter response times and quick first measures.
MCF provides direct support on the test system for mechanical issues, contacting, wiring, measurement technology or automation.
Software maintenance & updates
The software controls test procedures, measuring devices, DUT communication, user guidance, test data, reports and interfaces to higher-level systems. MCF maintains and expands existing test software - with bug fixes, updates, adjustments to new product variants and the integration of additional functions.
It is important that changes are implemented in a comprehensible, testable and documented manner.
Additional services
To ensure test systems remain reliable in their measurements, available and expandable over the long term, MCF also covers the associated service tasks.
Identify critical components early and reduce downtime.
Keep measuring equipment permanently within the required accuracy.
Keep test systems comprehensible, maintainable and expandable in the long term.
Adapt test systems to new requirements – expand or retrofit.
MCF & third-party systems
MCF supports its own test systems as well as existing test benches and systems from other manufacturers. An external analysis can be particularly useful for older systems, developed in-house developments or systems that are no longer maintained.
We check which components can be reused, what risks exist and which measures make technical and economic sense. In this way, existing systems can be stabilized, modernized or gradually transferred to a new platform.
Advantages
Structured maintenance and support of test systems offers clear advantages over the entire life cycle.
Our approach
At the beginning, MCF analyzes the condition of the test system and the operator's requirements - usage, criticality, test task, system structure, software status, spare parts situation and documentation.
Recording the condition, use and criticality of the test system as well as the operator's requirements - across all levels from mechanics to documentation.
On this basis, sensible service and maintenance measures are determined - from maintenance intervals to spare parts strategy to software maintenance.
Depending on your needs, MCF takes care of regular maintenance, troubleshooting, software maintenance, spare parts management, modernization or technical expansions.
The goal is always a stable, comprehensible and long-term testing process.
Describe your device under test, testing task and boundary conditions – we will develop the right concept.
